Kapaleeswarar is one of Chennai's most prominent Shiva temples, dedicated to Arulmigu Kapleeshwar, Lord Shiva's form, and Goddess Karpagambal, Parvati's form, located in Mylapore. This magnificent building was built by Pallavas in the 7th century and features wood carvings, stone carvings, decorative pillars, and a Gopuram at the gateway, is reminiscent of Dravidian style.
